Every Thursday Afternoon 4-5pm - on the following dates: May 5,12,19,26, June 9,16,23,30
This outdoor fun club is based and inspired on the Forest School and Montessori principles of child-led play open to any French and bilingual child(ren) aged 3 and above (and with exceptionally some younger siblings if they are independent enough to stay during the whole session and with permission of the Forest School leader)
Children will learn to develop a greater appreciation and awareness for nature, learn to manage their own risks and are given the freedom to play in a safe and nurturing environment.
They are given the chance to have a go at achievable tasks, and at their own pace. The club offers a wide range, yet rich outdoor learning opportunity for early years children. The children will get a chance to explore the woodland garden of Growing Space at Christ Church, a hidden gem in the heart of Kensington. Growing Space use the raised bed to grow vegetables during the summer term as well as learning essential gardening skills and the development to a deeper appreciation to nature.
This club will be run by a French Native, Pascale Rochefeuille, who is an Award Winning Montessori Educator and Youth Mental Health First Aider, an experienced gardener, a trained Forest School Leader and outdoor educator.
We are proud to support Arcadia Charitable trust with the project Growing Space

My two boys have spoken endlessly about how much they have enjoyed their gardening activities with Pascale (a modern day green fingered Mary Poppins) and this year my little 3 year old daughter joined them too. They come home with so much knowledge and facts about nature. It has instilled in them a love of the natural world and an eagerness to take care of it. The only complaint they had was that it was not long enough, which goes to show how interested they are. They cannot wait for future workshops as all three of them have had such a wonderful time.
Volunteering at Growing Space has been such a wonderful and inspiring experience. I thoroughly enjoy tending to the plants and helping out during holiday activities. The community is so welcoming and I have learnt so much about gardening from them. From tending to plants to fixing wiring, there is something here for everyone. I especially liked the Halloween workshop, where we carved pumpkins with fun designs. Every week I look forward to coming to the garden and enjoy watching the garden transform week-by-week.
The Growing Space is a beautiful and safe place within central London where children can experience and learn about how fruit and vegetables are grown. Our children are always excited to visit and we found the courses to be very informative and fun, The teachers are very well prepared and are very good at transferring that information to the children. We’ve been recommending it to our friends and look forward to attend more courses in the future. We feel that the Growing Space has become an integral part of the local community and very much look forward to its future development.
